Every year Euronor renews its commitment to Pavillon France. A Bureau Veritas controller travels on site once a year to conduct a production audit including a traceability test. This allows us to offer our production to all our customers under the collective brand Pavillon France and if the customer signed the chart, the brand can reach he consumer’s plate, assuring that the fish he will enjoy was caught by a French vessel.

It is the collective mark involving all the actors of the French fishing valuing its trades, its commitment and its products. It is supported by France Filière Pêche, an interprofessional organization which includes all the segments of the sector.

WHAT GUARANTEES A PRODUCT PAVILLON FRANCE?

A product PAVILLON FRANCE, it’s a fish, shellfish or crustacean which was caught by a French flagged vessel.

Its optimal freshness is guaranteed by some regularly checked specifications, at each step of the chain of custody.

Each sea product stamped PAVILLON FRANCE comes from the French fishing; its traceability is guaranteed from sea to plate.

HOW PAVILLON FRANCE SERVES YOU ?

PAVILLON FRANCE, the brand of the French fishing industry products, aims to help to identify, discover and appreciate, following the rhythm of the seasons, more than 50 species of fish, shellfish and crustaceans at the height of their freshness. It guides you in your consumption of seafood by informing you about the species, their fishing style and season, but also by offering you some advices, tricks and recipes to learn how to consume seafood with ease.

FRANCE FILIERE PECHE

Quand une filière se met en marche

In the view of the important economic, ecological and food issues of French marine fishing, all the stakeholders of the sector decided to act by creating in 2010 the Association France Filière Pêche. The aim was to work together in the long term in favor of production and the marketing of French maritime resources. France Filière Pêche brought together all the segments of the supply chain to organize the framework of a sector solidarity and ensure that effective actions are put in place. This interprofessional association therefore brings producers, fish traders, wholesalers, transformers, supermarkets and the fishmongers in France.

From the start, France Filière Pêche set itself some specific targets to realise its ambitions:

  • To develop a more sustainable and more responsible fishery through the support and the promotion of some good practices to improve the competitiveness of fishing companies while contributing to the preservation of the fisheries resources and the marine ecosystem.
  • To promote the marketing of the products of the French fishing industry and to value them in order to encourage their consumption among the general public:  this objective has resulted with creation of the brand Pavillon France which guarantees to the consumers the opportunity to enjoy the diversity of the French fishing with confidence.
