The Chief Engineer
He is responsible for the proper functioning of the machinery during the fishing trip and the safety of the equipment. He maintains the vessel, making it a key position that requires great versatility. The chief engineer on a fishing boat must possess multiple skills: in the maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, refrigeration units, as well as electrical networks and onboard electronics.
The Second Engineer
He takes shifts with the chief engineer, whose right-hand man he is. He takes measurements on the various installations and records them. He participates with the chief engineer in preventive maintenance. He is called upon to replace the chief engineer during his holidays.
The Baader Technician
Baader technicians are in charge of maintaining all the Baader machines in the factory. They check the proper functioning of the head-decapper, the gutter, and the filleter. They ensure the quality of the fillets and the production yield.
